Recently the video game Fortnite released its new season, Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless. With a Battle Royale season comes significant changes to the game. The in-game additions include new POIs, NPCs, quests, storyline, weapons, and bosses. The out of game additions include a new home screen, additions to the item shop, tweaking of existing features, and a new Battle Pass.
Game Changes:
With the new season brings many changes to the Battle Royale island these include new POIs, NPCs, quests, storyline, weapons, and bosses. The new POIs are Crime City, Lonewolf Lair, Outlaw Oasis, and Shiny Shafts. These are all on the west side of the map and have an abundance of gold. This season also added black markets where you can spend gold or Dill Bits, a new crypto currency, to get weapons. The new season added 5 new NPCs. These are Big Dill, who is found in Crime City, Cassidy Quinn, who is found in Lonewolf Lair, Fishstick, who is in Brutal Boxcars, Joss, who is found in Magic Mosses, Skillet, who is found in Crime City, The Brat, who is found in Shogun’s Solitude, Valentina, who is found in Outlaw Oasis, and Sub-Zero, who is found in the forest between Wiffy Wharf and Flooded Frogs. The new season has many quests including the return of milestones, daily, weekly, ranked, expertise, and story. In addition to this they are doing a collaboration with Cowboy Bebop, an anime series. This quest can give out 2 free rewards, a gun wrap and a loading screen and lasts until March 18. The new season added 7 new weapons and unvaulted 3. The new weapons are the Collateral Damage AR, the Falcon Eye Sniper, the Outlaw Shotgun, the Pump and Dump, the Kneecapper, Sub-Zero’s Combat Kit, and Fletcher Kane’s Double Down Pistol. They unvaulted the Mammoth Pistol, Stick Grenade Launcher, and The Striker Burst Rifle. This season added Fletcher Kane as a boss, he drops his Double Down Pistol and Unstoppable Medallion, which allows players to sprint faster.
Storyline:
The storyline for this season is the takeover of the Chapter 6 island by criminals. Gold is now appearing everywhere particularly in the western regions of the island. The gold would then become controlled by a man named Fletcher Kane. He would establish a few banks across the island, which can be looted by players.
Battle Pass:
The biggest addition to a new Fortnite season is the Battle Pass. These are the skins (from tier 1 to 100); Cassidy Quinn, Joss, Fletcher Kane, Valentina, Big Dill, Keisha Cross, and Bi-Han/Sub-Zero. The secret skin which can be unlocked by earning levels is Outlaw Midas and the Joss, Fletcher Kane, Valentina, Big Dill, and Keisha Cross wil\l receive super styles.
