Everybody loves Chick-fil-A and Cane’s but there has always been a rivalry between the two fast food restaurants, and there has always been a debate on which is better. So today we put them side by side. We compared the main courses, sides, sauces, lemonades, service, and prices. So we went around the school and did a vote out of 100 people.
Cane’s chicken was nice and crispy, and paired well with the sauce. It was also very tender and juicy. “A good bite of chicken,” said Timmy Herr with a rating of 9.5/10. The Chick-fil-A chicken was also tender, but had a smoother outside, a rating of 8. As for the sides (both were fries), Cane’s has the classical crinkle cut fries. They were salty, crispy, and longer than usual with a rating of 9/10. Chick-fil-A had waffle fries which were quite greasy and crunchy with a rating of 8.5. The Chick-fil-A fries could have been a little saltier and were a bit over-fried.
The sauces were what was really close. The Cane’s sauce tastes vinegary with a little tartness in it. Whereas the Chick-fil-A sauce tastes a lot like honey mustard mixed with some other ingredients. Both Cane’s sauce and the Chick-fil-A sauce get a rating of 9/10.
Then there is the lemonade. Cane’s lemonade was watery but was also very sugary. The Chick-fil-A lemonade tasted almost identical to Cane’s but with a bit more of a lemon taste, and it had the traditional Chick-fil-A ice.
Cane’s service took about 4 and a half minutes while Chick-fil-A was almost a minute shorter at 3 minutes and 43 seconds. The Cane’s meal cost $10.99 and the Chick-fil-A meal cost $13.99.
Finally we went around the school and tallied the votes out of 100 people. Chick-fil-A pulled out the win with a score of 51 votes over Cane’s 49 votes.
