Coming off of last year’s 16-6 record and after an unfortunate loss to CBC in the first round of districts, the Priory Ravens varsity soccer team hopes to have a bounceback season. While we miss the many seniors who graduated last year, there are a lot of exciting things to look forward to this season. We have many new players on the varsity team who have stepped up in their roles. This includes Mick Murphy who is back on the soccer field! This year, the Ravens varsity soccer team has dropped to Class 2. Although this may seem disappointing, there are actually several benefits to it including playing more comparable teams. We are working hard on the field to get our first district win in four years.
Starting out the season, we are currently 2-4 after finishing the Metro League tournament as well as the St. Dominic tournament. There have been a lot of injuries that have complicated things, but we continue to improve and grow closer as a team.
We greatly appreciate all of the support, enthusiasm, and social media attention that we have gotten at our games this year. Shout out to the Student Section!!!! That MICDS game was lit! We were surprised to see fans take the drive out to St. Dominic and blow the Priory horn! Keep it coming! You all are a great motivator for us and we see and hear you! We hope that you will continue to come out, show up, and support us as we continue our season. Go Ravens Soccer! #Prioryfansarebetterthanyourfans
