Since their defeat against MICDS on Sept. 17, in which they lost 45-7, the Ravens football team have rebounded strongly, winning their last three consecutive games. On September 24th, the Birds beat Westminster on their homecoming 42-26, despite having a depleted roster due to injuries. Jalen Riad finished the game with 7 rushes for 35 yards, 3 receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown, a fumble recovery touchdown for 46 yards and a 53 yard Pick 6 to secure the win. Following that dominant win, the Ravens battled tooth and nail in a close victory against John Burroughs at home, winning 28-25, led by a dominant passing game. Gerard Grewe completed 21 of 27 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 10 rushing attempts for 50 yards and a touchdown. Last Thursday, the team travelled to Alton, Ill., where they shut out Alton Marquette Catholic 32-0 with a combined 281 rushing yards between five different backs.

The Priory football team is currently 5-2 on the season, winning 3 out of 4 of their conference games. The Birds look to stay hot on homecoming playing the combined force of the 1-5 Principia/Whitfield team at 1 p.m. There will be a ceremony for the senior football players about 30 minutes before the game starts. There will also be a BBQ for students, parents and fans to enjoy during the big conference game.
