Basketball Review

The 2021-22 Ravens Varsity Basketball season was another success as they finished 19 wins and 9 losses. There was never a time that the team lost more than two games in a row. Consistent throughout the year, we were led by Seniors Jahaad Fort, Jimmy Temprano and Matt Politte. The Ravens won the Affton Tourney and had a strong showing in the Fort Zumwalt Tourney, losing to MICDS in the final.

Senior Jahaad Fort led the charge, averaging 21 points per game. He was named to the all tournament team in each of the three in which we participated. He was also named to the All-District and First Team All League teams. Jimmy Temprano had another solid season and averaged 6 points per game and was named Second Team All Metro League. Matt Politte shot the lights out and averaged 10 points per game. He also finished the season with 67 three point baskets. 

Other key contributors were Max Lipe, Gerard Grewe, Christian Gonzalez, James Wong and Jacob Willard. The one common denominator on this team was that we played hard and played as a team every night. We really gave ourselves a chance to win every game! The coaching staff is extremely proud of this group of young men!
