The Priory basketball team has been hard at work and is once again looking to finish out another strong basketball season. The team has earned a record of 15-6 so far this season (8-2 in the last ten games) and is looking to add on a few more wins during the rest of the regular season. In those last ten games, we have had big wins over St. Dominic, Parkway North, and MICDS as well as a second-place finish in the Fort Zumwalt North tournament. The team has thus far been led by star player Jahaad Fort, who is leading the team in points, assists, and rebounds per game. Rowdy student sections have also brought much-needed energy and excitement to help fuel the Ravens’ strong season. In the coming weeks, we play Lutheran South twice, Brentwood, MICDS, and Westminster to close out our regular season. After those games, we will get our placement in our district tournament which consists of MICDS, John Burroughs, Whitfield, U-City, St. Charles, and STEAM Academy. Based on our experiences and season so far, with leadership from upperclassmen and significant contributions from underclassmen, the team will be poised to have a strong postseason run.
