Reflection on this Year

Happy Holidays, everyone. Thanksgiving has just ended and we are nearing the holiday of Jesus’s birth, Christmas. Christmas is not all about giving and receiving gifts, but rather the coming of Jesus and the saving of humanity. But what I am telling you today is not about Jesus’s coming, but rather about this great school year we have had so far and the great change from last year. So far, this school year has been crazy… with new schedule changes and new lunch menus. One of the favorite things in the Junior School’s lunch is the make-your-own pizza station on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This was a thing in pre-COVID times, but when COVID came around it was shut down. The Class of 2026 was not able to experience the great pizza during their first year. Luckily, as things continue to open up in the 2021 school year, everyone can experience the great Priory lunches that we all know and love. We have also gained a valued and needed schedule change, going from 20 minutes for lunch to an extended 50 minutes of lunch, which is very necessary if you’re hoping to get some pizza. One downside of the schedule change is that now we have nine classes per term instead of the old eight classes per term. A huge change that we are desperately hoping for after winter break is that masks will be removed. This will be a huge change because masks affect learning and friendship. After all, you can’t see people’s facial expressions, which are a huge deal with friendships. The last thing I would like to say about this amazing school year is how far everyone has come over the past year of school, and the friendships we have made and improved. Overall, we have had a great school year so far and some fun, exciting schedule changes that have made a great school even greater.
